Support developer Virtuos has founded a new studio in Seoul, South Korea.

The team will "deepen collaboration with Korean game developers and publishers," and general manager Seunghwan “Sean” Yoon will lead the effortCome from Soccer 13 pools and matches . Fellow core team members include development director Kyungjin Lee, senior business development manager Sangwon Suh, and executive producer Wang Yufang.

"Virtuos Seoul will enhance the delivery of creative and design capabilities, leading the liaison between Korean clients and Virtuos’ game development studios worldwide," wrote the developer. The announcement also noted its contributions to several South Korean-made games, such as PUBG, Crossfire, and Dave the Diver.

More opportunities for Virtuos in Korea

Separately, Yoon said the country "has produced some of the world’s biggest hits and remains a top gaming hub. Establishing a physical studio in Seoul enables Virtuos to directly address the unique challenges faced by Korean studios, with the proximity facilitating closer co-development and collaboration."

Virtuos' South Korea offshoot is its first new team in 2025. In January, it acquired support developers Umanaïa, Pipeworks, and Abstraction. This is also its first internal team since branching out to Prague and Tokyo in 2023.
